Abstract

Food issues have received wide attention among various countries for various reasons where the dimensions and aspects of the food problems. The study attempts to investigate the subject of food security in Arab countries and showed that food deficiency is represented by low per capita share of Calories in a large number of Arabic countries especially those with low ore medium income (2100 Calorie / day). And highlights the importance of research to identify the most important determinants and barriers to the achievement of food security and food crisis in the Arab countries and the challenges faced by these countries in this area, has included research both sides to ensure the first: the theoretical framework that we have reviewed the aspects relating to food and food security, relying on what has been made available to researchers of academic resources, and ensure the second: the practical side through the analysis of the impact of the independent variables adopted in the variable (the average per capita calorie intake) on a group of Arab countries The research found a set of conclusions and proposals, the most notable is optimal utilization of agricultural resources and the available environment of the Arab countries through an integrated approach and encouraging the agricultural investment climate while using advanced technology in agricultural processes besides providing the food for the fragile households in the Arab countries through governmental aids to help those Arab people who suffer under poverty. .
